Change for Eccosave Mobile Wash

We've been slowing down this month due to the seasons first snow storm and very cold weather. I thought we had it bad in Toronto at -14C, but in the western part of Canada they getting some very extreme weather, as low as -40C to -50C! I've lived here all my life but I just cannot get use to these cold temperatures. And to think we have at least another 4 months of this...ugh.

Well, on a positive note, this does give me a chance to work on a few things I've thought about changing. First, the company website is going through a complete overhaul. It will incorporate the same information (less of some and more of others), but have a different feel to it. Secondly, I'll be bundling some services together to create mini packages and changing/adding some options to the existing packages. This should make it even easier for customers to pick and choose the services they desire. Thirdly, look out for a video very soon on the Eccosave Channel via Youtube. I finally got the video software installed so now it's just finding some time to put something together. The changes should happen sometime between January/February, leading into March when the weather hopefully begins to lighten up.

Were in the midst's of the business first winter. I'm not 100% sure how it will fair but were taking it day by day. Whatever happens this season, will prepare us for next so I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. Either way, we won't be shutting down. Winter is the proving ground for the waterless car wash and my goal is to prove it will work in Canadian weather conditions.

Here comes old man winter...

Well, it seems as if it's finally upon us, old man winter is here. It has gotten cold really quick and I think that's why I've been under the weather the past couple of weeks. I've also been able to prove a few theories true since my last blog.

First, I was outside washing vehicles in -4C weather conditions. That's cold, but the wash solution went on normally, and buffed to a shine as it always does. However, If it gets colder than that, I won't be out there, or any employee of mine. If were underground, no problem, but not outside.

Second, most of Toronto's mobile details have, or are in the process, of closing up shop. Not us, we're still open. Some may think we're crazy but we want to prove that our level of service can't be matched by other mobile detailers. Separating us from the competition completely is our goal.

At the moment, I'm working on redesigning the website, and putting a Youtube video up. Our Winter/Fall special is almost up (end of December) so I'd like to get the new site up and running by then. For awhile now I've been trying to think of a demo for the Youtube video...how about washing half of a vehicle in the snow? I don't think that's ever been done in Toronto. Another first by Eccosave Mobile Wash?
